Fall is in the air just about everywhere but the California deserts. I'm watching an incredible scene lit by the last light of the day -- the mountains, a huge pine tree and colorful lantana and verbena which grow so prolifically in the desert.

Lately, I've been immersing myself in the music of Steve White, a dear friend who passed away in late spring and whose music lives on in the hearts and minds of so many fans. In addition to his wonderful musicianship and unwavering spirit, Steve was an incredible artist, his work covering hundreds of makeshift canvases over the years. We all miss him but we can still enjoy his music.
